Hand Coloured Photographs; The artist adds colour to your old black and white photograph, using conservation techniques and pigments. Your photo is transformed into a beautiful work of art. The original photo is copied onto archival quality photo paper. The colour pigment is applied by hand to the archival print. This process is slow and exacting. The background in your photo can be replaced by brush strokes, creating a softly shaded effect in the colour or colours of your choice. Occasionally just one area of a photo is colourized, to bring attention to that area. Perhaps your wish is that only the roses in the hands of a beautiful lady are coloured or maybe one person in a group of people should be softly coloured so as to make that person seem more important than the rest. The possibilities are as endless!
